Major Motion Wins 4 National Titles Seven Springs, Pennsylvania (July 14, 2006) - Major Motion set out on a long drive to Junior Nationals with won things in mind, to bring home the gold and that what we did! We had about twenty kids competing in all the age categories from 10-12 to 17-18. Feeding that many kids on a daily basis is work but thanks to all the parents we pull it off! The weather was great and the racing was fast! The first day was the Time Trial and in the 13-14 women Coryn Rivera rocketed to first and Paulina Lopez finished 8th. In the 10-12 women Karla Lopez finished a strong 2nd. The second day the criterium was held at Jennerstown Speedway, perfect spot for a criterium! I tell you people Karla was not to happy about finishing 2nd in the time trial, so she comes out in the 10-12 women’s criterium from the first lap and blasted off and never look back to win solo. In the 13-14 women’s criterium Paulina Lopez blasted into the last turn with the perfect lead out for her teammate Coryn Rivera to finish 1-2, from a visual stand point it was one of the best I’ve seen. In the 17-18 criterium Justin Williams just missed the podium by one spot to finished 6th, about half way through the race three riders had thirty second on the field and one rider attacked to bridged and Justin went with him. They were out there for more than ten laps but they never bridged, but you have to give them an A for their effort! The last day was the road race, I’ll tell you people this was a tough course and to watch these kids go up the climbs with all the parents cheering was so cool! Coryn Rivera wins her third national championship by attacking at the bottom of the last climb and crosses the line by her self. Karla Lopez finished 2nd in the 10-12 women. Now the team is off to Trexlertown, PA for Junior Track Nationals. (June 11, 2006) - Sunday was a great day to be racing your bike and that's what Major Motion juniors came to do at the Glendale Gran Prix. The race was well attended by all the local junior teams, so there could have been a good fifty juniors at this race, that's not including the kids races and rodeo ! ! The promoters of this event have really done a fine job to promote junior racing. Major Motion came out on fire with Cory Williams winning the 13-14 Jr mens, with his teammates Cameron Gernnert taking 6th and Joel Acosta coming in 9th. In the 10-12 Jr Men Eric Volotzky sprinted to an impressive 2nd. Next up was our super athlete Coryn Rivera who won the 13-14 Jr Women easily and also placed 16 in the Pro 1-2 women mind you this girl is 13 years old ! ! In the 15-16 Jr Men Juan Saldana blazed to 1st and to top that the kids goes out and wins the Cat 3 race. Big ups to C J Williams taking 9th and Brian Smith 14th in the 15-16 jr Men. In the 17-18 Jr Men Justin Williams place 1st and 8th in the Pro 1-2. Justin has a good chance to represent the United States at Junoir Worlds on the track, let's wish him all the success. I tell you people we our the future of this sport becuase when I think back about this team 95% of these kids were no where near the level that they our now , as the saying goes ( and thus we grow).
